Pickles and ice cream promo markets new U maternity ward
Pickles & Ice Cream might sound like the latest Minnesota State Fair craze, but it is actually a new marketing gimmick that the University of Minnesota Medical Center has launched to compete in the crowded world of maternity care.
Jenny Fulton, co-owner of Kernersville-based Miss Jenny’s Pickles, has long dreamed that her company will become a household name.
She’s moving a step closer to her goal. She’ll pitch her products on CNBC’s reality series “West Texas Investors Club.”
Fulton is one of many entrepreneurs who will make a pitch before self-made multimillionaires Rooster McConaughey and Butch Gilliam, along with their close friend Gil Prather. The episode will air at 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Fulton said the show is similar to “Shark Tank” but with a “Midland West Texas twist.”
“Instead of being in front of five people, you’re in front of Butch and Rooster and Gil listening to you pitch,” Fulton said.
