Search for tiny terrier Pickles goes VIRAL as online pet posse join the hunt

The search for Pickle the puppy has become an internet sensation as animal lovers attempt to reunite her with her heartbroken owner.

Adele Rowley’s pleas for Pickle’s return have gone viral on social media with photographs and videos showing the cute and fun-loving pet.

Pickle was stolen on January 25 when burglars struck at Adele’s home in West Horndon, Essex. Besides taking the nine-week-old puppy, they also stole her Range Rover Sport which was later used in a ram raid 60 miles away in Bedfordshire.

Essex Police have put out an appeal to recover Pickle and a “wanted poster” has been put online by DogLost.co.uk.

Adele has also released a video showing Pickle with her other three year old Maltese Terrier.

“I’ve only had Pickle a week but have grown really attached to her,” said Adele.

“My other dog is missing her, too.  Her tail has been down since she was taken.

“I just can’t understand why someone would take Pickle and I need to know she is being fed and looked after.

“Pickle is such a beautiful character. She is very loving and enjoys being cuddled.

“She was called Pickle almost a year before we got her because she was going to be our ‘Ickle Pickle’.

“The people who stole her are just the low life, scum of the earth. Why take a defenseless, little baby with no knowledge if she needed special food or medication or had other needs?

“Please help share our appeal and if you know anything, please do the right thing and call the police.”

• Anyone with information is asked to call Pc Paul Burnett at Brentwood police station on 101. Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
